A Room with a View

Renovation and 3-storey roof-top addition to an industrial building creating out-door living spaces and roof-top gardens in this 165 units condo. Contemporary vocabulary, geothermal energy, play with masonry, pre-cast concrete and glass elements re-interprets the traditional masonry architecture.

This apartment, designed for a couple, is located in a converted steel factory building. The palette of natural materials and darker tones, in combination with a sculptural blue steel and walnut staircase, evokes the industrial character of the original building.

Condo renovation with contemporary detailing

New building for the McGill student community consolidates all the student services in an easily accessible building.

Architectural intervention pays homage to Mies van der Rohe building by unveiling the concrete coffered ceilings. These become a tectonic element of the interior design and provide a back-drop to the inserted elements that define the space.

Our team ARCHITEM Architectes was selected as a finalist for a new dance and theater venue in Sherbrooke along with NCK Inc, Dupras Ledoux Ingénieurs + Trizart Alliance.
